Feed the Future (FTF)
Feed the Future is the U.S. government’s new global hungerand food security initiative. The underlying policies of FTF
are based on the Millennium Development Goals—to halve
the proportion of people suffering from hunger and poverty
by 2015.
Food security is defined as having four main components:
availability, access, utilization, and stability. FTF strategies
and investment plans are being developed which will promote
nutrition and market led growth across the entire food
production and market chain.
