Sanhok Map and Heal Battle are made for each other. However, teams from the bottom third were still looking for points rather than playing defensively. Just like that, Rivalry Esports found some inspiration by rotating and positioning themselves in better positions. Team 8-bit went with their usual approach of going for the finishes.

In the last circle, Rivalry had a 3v2v1 situation with 8Bit and 7Sea. After Madman’s elimination, Beast of 8bit opted for heal battle while Rivalry spotted Savitar to end the hopes of 7Sea. After securing the second position, Beast had the last try but Rivalry Esports finished with ease to secure WWCD. Madman of 8Bit was the MVP of the match.

Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 2: Release date and Everything we Know

Many people are looking forward to Final Fantasy 7 Part 2. The hype is mainly because the first part of the game delivered a fresh yet familiar experience. The original Final Fantasy 7 director teased that there would be more information on the game later this year. It is possible that a Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 2 release date, trailer, gameplay, and system requirements will be part of that “more information,” as teased by Yoshinori Kitase.

With no official release date announcement, let’s dive in on all of the information and even theories that we have for the second part of Final Fantasy Remake.

Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 2 Release Date

Final Fantasy Remake Part 1 Screenshot of Cloud watching the Shinra news announcement.
Source: Square Enix

This hypothesis will be a lengthy one, so hear me out. Many fans expect that Final Fantasy XVI will release on March 2023. The expectation is due to a leak that appeared on Reddit. According to this Nvidia leak, Final Fantasy XVI will be on PC by March 1, 2023.

Now, what does all of that have to do with Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 2? Square Enix most likely won’t release two major games for the Final Fantasy franchise in the same quarter if we think about it. Then again, an early release date of late 2022 is unlikely because of the recent announcement of Square Enix on the 25th Anniversary of Final Fantasy 7.

If this leak proves accurate, we must consider two possible release dates for Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 2.

Update (June 6, 2022): According to Tetsuya Nomura (Character Designer for the original Final Fantasy VII) himself, there will be upcoming news on the 25th Anniversary of Final Fantasy VII this June regarding the awaited 2nd part of the Final Fantasy VII Remake. Since Final Fantasy XVI already got a release date of Summer 2023, we can only conclude that either the Final Fantasy VII Remake Part 2 will get an early 2024 release or at least a late 2023 release.

With this new information, most fans would likely be disappointed as it would nearly take four years to develop a sequel to a game (with most likely the same mechanics and engine as the first part.) Would it hurt the sales of Final Fantasy VII Remake Part 2? Most likely not, but then again, we have to account for the length of the original game, and fans are speculating that this is not the final part of the remake. In a sense, you would have to buy three games (give or take) to finish the entire remake of Final Fantasy VII, and this is where fans would create an uproar at Square Enix. Regardless, we’ll have to wait until the announcement at the 25th Anniversary of Final Fantasy VII.

Update (June 17, 2022): With the recent 25th Anniversary of Final Fantasy VII, we finally got a glimpse of the 2nd part of Final Fantasy Remake. It will be called Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. In the trailer, we got to see a glimpse of the areas where we will be exploring in the 2nd part of the remake, such as a Nibelheim flashback wherein Cloud and Sephiroth are shown exploring together. One of the most notable reveals in the trailer is when Cloud and Aerith seemingly talk to someone while the footage of Zack carrying Cloud plays. This event hints that Zack is 100% confirmed to be alive as he responds with the words, “Sorry, I feel like I failed you.”

We got a timeframe for the release date of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, which will be the Winter of 2023. Also, as a last piece of information, we now know the number of parts the remake will get. The Final Fantasy VII Remake will get three parts, and we have no news yet regarding the release date of the third part.

In the meantime, here’s the trailer reveal for Final Fantasy VII Remake Part 2 A.K.A. Final Fantasy VII Rebirth

Release Date of Late 2023

Screenshot of Cloud doing a Limit Break on Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 1
Source: gamereactor.eu

The first hypothesized release date would be late 2023. We should consider Square Enix might simultaneously be developing the second part in conjunction with the first part. Maybe Square Enix already established most of the second part of the game as the first part was released. It’s just that the developers needed more time to polish further the second part, which would likely involve the open-world section of the original game.

Release Date of Early 2024

Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 1 in-game screenshot of Aerith fighting an enemy
Source: playstationlifestyle.net

The second hypothesized release date would be in early 2024. This release date is the worst-case scenario. With the ending of the pandemic nowhere in sight, developers from Square Enix might stumble into challenges with the development of games. Keep in mind that some developers are required to work from home. This setup could pose a severe problem, and they may end up delaying the game until Early 2024.

Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 2 Gameplay

Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 1 in-game screenshot of Cloud fighting the first boss.
Source: dsogaming.com

The Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 2 gameplay would most likely be similar to the first game. As a reminder, the Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 1’s gameplay is heavily reliant on the ATB system. You have action gauges that fills up over time or when you make a normal attack. It is real-time and is a hybrid of Final Fantasy 7: Crisis Core and somewhat reminiscent of Final Fantasy X.

The battle system is perfect for those RPG fans who have an itch for an action-style gameplay. Although the first part of Final Fantasy 7 made a great battle system, I would like to see more fluidity and seamlessness with the 2nd part. Hopefully, Square Enix can deliver more polished battle mechanics.

Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 2 Trailer

Source: Square Enix Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 1 Trailer

With no imminent announcement of the Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 2 trailer in sight, we should assume that the trailer will pick up after the story ends in the first part.

SPOILER AHEAD!

The first part of Final Fantasy 7 Remake ended when the party defeated Sephiroth at the Edge of Creation. It is still somewhat similar to the original game. However, we knew there was a cutscene, in the end, showing Zack Fair survived his fight with the Shinra Troops.

The ending cutscene was a significant deviation from Final Fantasy 7: Crisis Core since we were left in tears when our main protagonist Zack died at the end. In the Final Fantasy of Final Fantasy 7 Remake: Part 1, we saw the possibility of Zack Fair joining the party to fight Sephiroth.

The ending could mean that we are in a different timeline of Final Fantasy 7’s world. Square Enix would expound on this alternate timeline scenario in the second part of the game. We might even get to see some explanations on the release of Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 2’s trailer!

Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 2 System Requirements

Source: Square Enix

We could highly theorize that the Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 2’s engine will be the same as the first part. Albeit, Square Enix would most likely upgrade the graphics to a certain degree, but not by much. Don’t worry, we’ll be providing our own speculated system requirements for Final Fantasy 7 Remake part 2 as well.

Minimum System Requirements for Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 1:

  • OS: Windows 10 64bit
  • Processor: Intel Core I5 3330 / AMD FX-8350
  • Memory: 8GB
  • Storage: 100GB or more
  • Direct X: Version 12 or later
  • Graphics: GeForce GTX 780 / Radeon RX 480 (3GB Vram)
  • Processor: Intel Core I7 3770 / AMD Ryzen 3 3100
  • Memory: 12GB
  • Storage: 100GB or more
  • Direct X: Version 12 or later
  • Graphics: GeForce GTX 1080 / Radeon RX 5700 (8GB Vram)

These are the minimum and the recommended system requirements for Part 1. For the 2nd part, we imagine that these requirements would be higher.

  • Processor: Intel Core I7 4770k / AMD Ryzen 5 3500
  • Memory: 16GB
  • Storage: 100GB or more
  • Direct X: Version 12 or later
  • Graphics: GeForce GTX 1080 ti (11GB)

Take note; these are only my speculations for at least a smooth 4k experience for Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 2. We will update this post once official sources have surfaced regarding the system requirements.

Jonathan “JONATHAN” Amaral speaks exclusively to Insidesport

Jonathan is one of the foremost figures in the Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) esports scene. He has set the bar extremely high for all Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) players. Being at the top of the game isn’t easy for anyone, but his ability to do so with ease is quite admirable.

Currently, he is competing in the Battlegrounds Mobile India Masters Series (BGMS) where he won the Damager award in Week 1. But in Week 2, Godlike Esports is struggling in all matches. The team has been stationed at the bottom rankings for quite some time.

Jonathan got candid in a recent exclusive interview with InsideSport, where he shared his thoughts on the team’s bad performance, pressure in-game, and more.

"Being telecasted on the Tv will boost the BGMI esports scenario in India", Jonathan "JONATHAN" Amaral

How does LAN feel after the pandemic?

It’s a great feeling. This is the first time an esports event is being broadcasted on television. So it is a really great thing and people who were not aware of esports earlier will now get to know what this scene is. I am really happy to be part of this.

A LAN tournament without a live audience. Does it take the pressure off or doesn’t make any difference?

It doesn’t matter if the audience is there or not. If there is an audience in the arena it is better for me. It makes a good environment when my fans are cheering for me. So I feel much more comfortable when fans are around me. Both situations are equal for me.

How much pressure is on you to win after the Week 1 performance?

There is no pressure, but I can say that my main focus is to win the trophy of the Battlegrounds Mobile India Masters Series.

Also Read: Team SOUL: “They call me the best player in the country”- SOUL Goblin speaks to Insidesport Exclusively after BMPS triumph

How do you feel esports has grown in India? Is this the pinnacle or is there more left to achieve?

You can say that esports is going to grow much more. This is just the initial phase of it. Being telecasted on the TV, it’s really a great thing and it will boost the BGMI and the whole esports scenario in India.

If not BGMI, what other game would you like to go pro in?

I keep playing different games for fun like Call of Duty Mobile, VALORANT, and many more. Battlegrounds Mobile India is my world now, so I would like to go pro in BGMI only.

Shed some light on the recent GODL vs TSM controversy.

On that matter, I won’t tell you anything because it is a hot topic. You need to wait for the official announcement on the matter.

Is there any tension between the teams with Shadow in your squad now?

No, not really. Shadow is a good person. I have never spoken to Shadow previously. He is joining the team; it has given moral and confidence boost to the entire team.

Which team is the biggest problem for you in BGMI Masters Series?

There is no team which will be a problem for us in BGMS. We are going to be a threat to everyone. If we are in the last circle then it will be a problem for the other teams.
